Panel 1:

The meeting continues.

• Jim: “I have made our city safer for our operations. It has been me. Me!”

Panel 2:

• Sarah: “Oh, bull! I’ve been doing all of the work around here. It’s been my ideas that you’ve stolen.”
• Jim: “I’m sorry you feel that way Sarah.”

Panel 3:

• Sarah: “Don’t play that game with me. I’ll kill you right now!”
• Jim: “You and what army?”

Panel 4:

Bob and Dave have fallen through the ceiling and have landed on the table in the middle of the room.

Strip 39

Panel 1:

People sit around a table, in business attire. At the head of the table is Jim Logan, known to the world as Deadly Death. Sarah sits on one side of the table.

• Jim: “So everything is going precisely to plan. Profits are on the rise, security for our personnel is dropping. We are doing very good.”

Panel 2:

• Jim: “Our new plan of action has been thoroughly examined and we have found it to be flawless. There will be nothing to stop us now. We will become the top of the food chain. We are the law, now.”

Panel 3:

Sarah sits in her chair, listening in. A smile across her face.

• Jim: “And we have one person most of all to thank for this. And so we shall thank you. Ladies and gentlemen...”

Panel 4:

Sarahis shocked, her jaw hanging slack.

• Jim: “ME!”

Strip 38

Panel 1:

Bob and Dave in the ducts.

• Dave: “We’ve been in this thing for hours now. They aren’t here.”
• Bob: “No, they are. I can feel it.”

Panel 2:

• Dave: “All I feel is a pain in my side, and it is killing me.”
• Bob: “Shh. I think I hear something.”

Panel 3:

• Dave: “You hear what? Everyone laughing at us?”
• Bob: “No, right there. It’s them.”

Panel 4:

• Dave: “Really?”
• Bob: “Right there.”

Strip 37

Panel 1:

Bob and Dave crawl through the air ducts.

• Dave: “You have any idea where we are?”
• Bob: “Somewhere around floor 78, I think.”

Panel 2:

• Dave: “And which floor are we supposed to be on?”
• Bob: “Uh… I don’t know…I never asked Sarah.”

Panel 3:

• Dave: “But at least we are in the right building, right?”
• Bob: “…”

Panel 4:

• Dave: “You don’t even know if we’re in the right building?”
• Bob: “Uh…I never asked her.”

Strip 36

Panel 1:

Bob and Dave, in costume, climb up the side of a building, holding onto a rope.

• Dave: “Are you sure this is the best way up this building?”
• Bob: “Yah, I saw this on a TV show once.”

Panel 2:

• Dave: “What kind of TV show?”
• Bob: “A documentary on superheroes, I think.”

Panel 3:

A man sticks his head out of a window beside the pair.

• Dave: “A documentary?”
• Man: “What is happening?”
• Bob: “Nothing citizen. Rest easy, we are here to save the day.”

Panel 4:

Bob and Dave reach the top of the building.

• Dave: “OK, now what?”
• Bob: “We find the air ducts and start crawling through them until we find this villainous meeting.”

Strip 35

Panel 1:

Bob and Dave stick their heads out from around a corner. Looking in opposite directions.

Panel 2:

Bob and Dave sneak across the hallway into the room across the hall.

Panel 3:

American Super and Super American walk out of the room.

Panel 4:

Super hero poses.

• Bob: “Now, we shall fight crime as only we can. To the bank!”

Strip 34

Panel 1:

Bob and Dave in the living room.

• Dave: “See? I told you she was Gorgon Fury.”
• Bob: “Maybe so. So, what are we going to do?”

Panel 2:

• Dave: “Why, we go to their meeting and we stop them. We show how big of heroes we really are.”
• Bob: “But, that might upset Sarah.”

Panel 3:

• Dave: “Are you serious? She’s a villainess!”
• Bob: “I just don’t want to end up sleeping on the couch again.”

Panel 4:

• Dave: “When we catch these villains, we will be famous. Women will be throwing themselves at us. Don’t back out now.”
• Bob: “I’ll definitely end up sleeping on the couch.”

Strip 33

Panel 1:

Bob, Dave, and Sarah are all around the dining room table.

• Dave: “I’m not obsessed. Why would I have any reason to be obsessed with you?
• Bob: “I’m appalled. We try to be more caring, and women always then turn on you.”
• Sarah: “Oh, come on!”

Panel 2:

• Dave: “You know Bob, maybe I should just go.”
• Bob: “Maybe I’ll come with you. We can start work a little early.”
• Sarah: “Stop it.”

Panel 3:

Sarah’s hair is raising up, becoming snakes.

• Dave: “Stop what? Stop caring?”
• Bob: “No way I can stop that.”
• Sarah: “I SAID STOP.”

Panel 4:

Sarah stares at the two men, now turned to stone. Her hair is all snakes, her skin a light blue color.

Strip 32

Panel 1:

Bob walks into the dining room with Dave. Sarah is putting food on the plates.

• Bob: “Sarah, say hello to Save.”
• Sarah: “Hello, Dave.”
• Dave: “Hello.”

Panel 2:

The three sit around the table.

• Dave: “So, how are you two?”
• Bob: “Fine.”
• Sarah: “Fine.”

Panel 3:

• Dave: “Everything good, eh? Anything interesting on the job front?”
• Bob: “She’s got a company meeting tomorrow.”

Panel 4:

• Dave: “Really? Where? When?
• Bob: “It’s a secret.”
• Sarah: “It is not! What is your obsession with my job? It’s at work, alright? Why are you two obsessed with me?”

Strip 31

Panel 1:

Bob at home with Sarah. She is setting the table.

• Bob: “Oh, I forgot to mention, I invited Dave over for dinner tonight.”
• Sarah: “Oh, you did, did you?”

Panel 2:

• Bob: “Yeah. I hope it’s not a problem. He was feeling down last night. So, I invited him over, so he would feel better.”
• Sarah: “That’s good! We’ll cheer him right up!”

Panel 3:

• Bob: “Yeah… so, how was your day at work?”
• Sarah: “Oh the usual. Nothing too exciting happened. I do have a company meeting tomorrow.”

Panel 4:

• Bob: “Really? Where? When?”
• Sarah: “…Why the sudden interest?”

Panel 5:

• Bob: “I just want to learn more about you, we have been together a while.”
• Sarah: “Oh… OK then.”

Strip 30

Panel 1:

• Bob: “OK, let’s say that you are right. Then, what should I do? I love the girl. And she loves me.”
• Dave: “Well, I don’t think she knows about your nightlife yet, so I doubt she’s dating you because you are a superhero. Not like you’re much of one anyway.”

Panel 2:

• Bob: “Yeah. Wait, what does that MEAN?”
• Dave: “That she must like you for you, and is not using you. Now, if only we could turn that to our advantage.”

Panel 3:

• Bob: “What do you mean?”
• Dave: “This could be our big break. We could get information out of her about other villains and catch them in the crime.”

Panel 4:

• Bob: “And then we can become big heroes? Great plan.”
• Dave: “I’ll be over early tomorrow for dinner, and we will start our planning then.”

Strip 29

Panel 1:

• Bob: “She did not turn me to stone!”
• Dave: “Oh, really? And what do you remember right after asking her?”

Panel 2:

• Bob: “Well, she started growling, and her eyes looked kind of funny. Then, I was standing in the living room and she was gone and it was two hours later.”
• Dave: “And the glowing eyes thing doesn’t strike you as odd at all?”

Panel 3:

• Bob: “Well, it was odd. But I think that was my mind playing tricks on me.”
• Dave: “Same way you woke up one day naked in the park covered in birds?”

Panel 4:

• Bob: “That was after a fight with Sarah. And she said I got really drunk that night and ran out of the house naked. I’m sure that’s what happened.”
• Dave: “Yeah… you are that stupid.”

Strip 28

Panel 1:

Bob and Dave stand in costume atop a building.

• Bob: “So, yesterday I did what you suggested. I asked Sarah if she was a villainess.”
• Dave: “And?”

Panel 2:

• Bob: “Well, I don’t recall. I seemed to have blacked out right after asking her. Strangest thing.”
• Dave: “And you don’t find anything odd about that?”

Panel 3:

• Bob: “Well, I was thinking of seeing a doctor tomorrow. Figured it might be something wrong with me.”
• Dave: “Oh, you don’t think it had anything to do with her?”

Panel 4:

• Bob: “What are you going on about now?”
• Dave: “She turned you to stone!”

Strip 27

Panel 1:

Bob and Dave are getting into costume.

• Bob: “I’m telling you. She is not a villain.”
• Dave: “And how do you know that exactly? Have you asked her?”

Panel 2:

• Bob: “No. Why would I do something stupid like that? I love her. I don’t want to piss her off.”
• Dave: “Then, you don’t know."

Panel 3:

• Bob: “You want me to ask her? You really want me to ask her?”
• Dave: “Yes! Just do it.”

Panel 4:

Bob stands in his apartment, turned to stone. Sarah stands angry, staring at him, her hair partially turned to snakes.

Strip 26

Panel 1:

Bob and Dave walking down an alleyway.

• Bob: “So, then she’s telling me about seeing Gorgon Fury fighting Awesome Rex. But nothing actually happened. And she doesn’t even know if Awesome Rex is alive or not. She was too busy going out shopping.”
• Dave: “I already told you once what was going on. But you don’t want to hear it.

Panel 2:

• Bob: “Because it’s ridiculous, OK? There is no way possible.”
• Dave: “I’m sorry, buddy, but it’s true. You just don’t want to hear it. Where do you think all that money comes from?”

Panel 3:

• Bob: “She got some good tippers, she told me so. What are you trying to imply?”
• Dave: “That you are hopelessly naïve?”

Panel 4:

• Bob: “I am not. I’m just not a conspiracist like yourself.”
• Dave: “Dude, your girlfriend IS Gorgon Fury.”

Strip 25

Panel 1:

Bob and Sarah are sitting at the dining room table.

• Bob: “I just don’t understand why you always have to spend so much money. We aren’t rich. Your job as a waitress and mine at…the…bank don’t pay huge.”
• Sarah: “I came into a little bit of money this week. I got some huge tips. Just…trust me, honey.”

Panel 2:

• Bob: “Maybe I should start trusting you more. I love you honey, and I always will.”
• Sarah: “Oh I know you will. You’re mine, all mine.”

Panel 3:

• Doorbell: “Ding Dong”
• Bob: “I’ll get it.”
• Sarah: “Oh, why do I even bother sometimes?”

Panel 4:

• Bob: “Honey, it’s Dave. Time to head out. Bye!”
• Sarah: “Why?”

Strip 24

Panel 1:

Awesome Rex stands ready to fight Gorgon Rage.

• Awesome Rex: “Stop right there, Gorgon Fury. You face the might of the Awesome Rex!”

Panel 2:

Gorgon Fury stares at Awesome Rex. Rex has been turned to stone.

Panel 3:

Bob and Sarah sit on their couch.

• Bob: “So, wait. She turned him to stone?”
• Sarah: “Yep. Turned him to stone right there. Then, she ran off with the loot.”

Panel 4:

• Bob: “And what else happened? Did he die?”
• Sarah: “…I…don’t know. I ran off after she did. He should be fine. From what I know Gorgon Fury’s victims turn back normal after a few hours. So anyway, I bought some new outfits.”

Strip 23

Panel 1:

Sarah and Bob sit on the couch.

• Sarah: “The end.”
• Bob: “The end? What do you mean the end? Didn’t Awesome Rex fight Gorgon Fury? What happened?”

Panel 2:

• Sarah: “Nothing special happened. I swear.”
• Bob: “Oh, Why do I even bother?”

Panel 3:

• Sarah: “Do you really want to hear about it?”
• Bob: “Of course I do. You know I do.”

Panel 4:

• Sarah: “Ok. So, the Awesome Rex had shown up to save the day…”

Strip 22

Panel 1:

A female villain, the Gorgon Fury, is running out of a bank, holding bags of money. She has snakes for her hair.

• Voiceover: “Well, I was walking down the street. And there was a robbery at the bank. The Gorgon Fury!”

Panel 2:

Bob and Sarah are sitting on the couch.

• Bob: “Really? You actually saw her?”
• Sarah: “Yes… now let me get on with my story. No interruptions.”

Panel 3:

Gorgon Rage is staring at police officers, their guns drawn. Now, turned to stone.

• Voiceover: “She was turning the cops to stone. She was unstoppable. A beautiful unstoppable force.”

Panel 4:

Behind Awesome Rex. He has his hands on his hips. In front of him stands the Gorgon Fury.

• Voiceover: “And that was when Awesome Rex showed up to save the day!”

Strip 21

Panel 1:

• Bob: “So…”
• Sarah: “Yes?”

Panel 2:

• Bob: “You said you saw the Awesome Rex?”
• Sarah: “Oh yeah. You still want to hear about that?”

Panel 3:

• Bob: “Yeah, I find superheroes to be fascinating.”
• Sarah: “Ok, well I saw him!”

Panel 4:

• Bob: “And? Something had to have happened.”
• Sarah: “Well, OK…”

Strip 20

Panel 1:

• Bob: “You saw a superhero?”
• Sarah: “Yeah, and he was so dreamy.”

Panel 2:

• Bob: “He didn’t happen to call himself the Super American, did he?”
• Sarah: “No, it was Awesome Rex. Why would you ask about the Silly American?”

Panel 3:

• Bob: “No reason. None at all. Why would you think I would ask about the SUPER American?”
• Sarah: “I don’t know. You asked me! What do I know what you are thinking?”

Panel 4:

• Bob: “…I love you.”
• Sarah: “Um… I love you too?”

Strip 19

Panel 1:

Sarah is standing beside Bob on the couch.

• Sarah: “Bob. I think we need to talk.
• Bob: “About what?”

Panel 2:

Sarah sits down on the couch beside Bob.

• Sarah: “Well, something happened today that made me rethink many things in my life.”
• Bob: “Really? What was it? Was it something I did?”

Panel 3:

• Sarah: “Well, there was that. But no, I mean something else. Something life changing. It made me think a lot about my life.”
• Bob: “So… what was it?”

Panel 4:

• Sarah: “I saw a superhero!”

Strip 18

Panel 1:

Bob sits on the couch, his legs curled up towards his body. Sarah is walking through the door, bags in hands.

Panel 2:

Sarah is looking at Bob.

• Sarah: “Bob, honey… what’s wrong?”
• Bob: “Nothing. Nothing at all. Just… don’t look in the laundry room, OK?”

Panel 3:

Bob sits alone in the living room. The bags are laying on the floor, turned over.

Panel 4:

Sarah is walking out of the laundry room behind Bob. Her mouth is wide open, her eyes wide and bulging. Behind her soap bubbles are pouring out of the laundry room in an avalanche.

Strip 17

Panel 1:

Bob stands in front of the washing machine. He is putting clothes in the washing machine. He is whistling. Notes form from around his mouth to above his head to denote this.

Panel 2:

Bob has the washing powder turned upside down pouring it into the washing machine. He continues whistling.

Panel 3:

Bob sits in his reclining chair, the remote in one hand.

• Television: “Oh no! The room is flooded.”
• Television: “You poured too much detergent in the washing machine again!”

Panel 4:

Bob is shocked, in the air, his eyes bulging, his mouth agape, as he looks at the washing machine, bubbles pouring out of the top of it.

Strip 16

Panel 1:

Bob and Dave are walking home, out of costume.

• Dave: “Next time we go out, you can announce everything you want.”
• Bob: “I had fun.”

Panel 2:

• Dave: “I can’t believe we had to fill out that much paperwork. Whatever happened to just turning in a criminal, and the cops handling it?”\
• Bob: “I think it has to do with the number of heroes around the city now. The cops could never get anything done.

Panel 3:

• Dave: “Yeah well, we are doing them a favor.”
• Bob: “Don’t worry, we’ll get our big break soon. We’ll be names, in the papers and everything. Just you wait.”

Panel 4:

• Dave: “Yeah, well. Until then, I have to go to work in a few hours. See you tomorrow.”
• Bob: “That reminds me. I have to do laundry for Sarah today.”

Strip 15

Panel 1:

Dave and Bob stand in front of the main desk in the police precinct, criminal in hand.

• Dave: “Pay no attention to my idiot friend here. This man fled from us. He was participating in dangerous activities. And I am certain he has stolen merchandise on him.”
• Bob: “Even though we didn’t see him do it.”

Panel 2:

• Dave: “Yeah…”
• Desk Sergeant: “Quite all right. We just need you to fill out some paperwork for us.”

Panel 3:

• Dave: “How much paperwork, exactly? We’re a bit busy.”
• Desk Sergeant: “Not too much, just a few sheets needing signed.”

Panel 4:

Dave and Bob sit at a desk, filling out papers with two giant stacks of paper next to them.

• Dave: “Remind me never to catch a criminal again.”

Strip 14

Panel 1:

Bob and Dave are walking down the street. Bob has the criminal over his shoulder.

• Bob: “I still don’t understand why we have to take him to the cops. Couldn’t we just tell him to not do it anymore and let him off?”
• Criminal: “Yeah, you could let me go.”
• Dave: “Oh you shut up.”
• Dave: “And we are not letting him go. Criminals go to jail. Heroes take them there. Now, be a hero.”

Panel 2:

Bob and Dave are out front of the police precint.

• Bob: “But couldn’t we just tie him up and let the police find him? Maybe put a note on him and call the cops.”
• Dave: “We are going to turn him in. I am going to turn one criminal over to the police as a crimefighter. Just give me this one simple little thing.”

Panel 3:

Bob and Dave are at the doors to the police station. Dave has his hand on one door, ready to open it.

• Dave: “Now, whatever you do, do not embarrass me. Don’t even open your mouth. Let me do all of the talking.”
• Bob: “OK.”

Panel 4:

Bob and Dave are standing at the main desk in the police precinct. Bob has the criminal standing in front of them, against the desk. There is a desk sergeant behind the desk.

• Dave: “We are here to turn this criminal in. He’s dangerous, and we would thank you for being so helpful as to take him off of the streets. He is a criminal.”
• Bob: “Even though we saw him commit no crime.”

Strip 13

Panel 1:

Bob and Dave are walking down an alleyway, still in costume.

• Dave: “Well, congratulations. Once again we have gone a full night without catching one single villain.”
• Bob: “I am proud of our accomplishment if I do say so myself. Obviously, with criminals scared of us, they are staying off the streets and not committing crimes.

Panel 2:

Dave and Bob stop. There is a man in a mask, wearing a striped shirt, staring at them.

• Dave: “…”
• Bob: “Stop villain! For now you must face the fury of the greatest superhero team ever seen throughout this fair city. This wonderful country, and this lovely world…”

Panel 3:

The criminal is running away. Dave is chasing after him. Bob remains standing still.

• Bob: “… a world which will never have to fear from the tyranny of evil. For we are here to stop evil. We are the… where are you going?”

Panel 4:

Dave grabs the criminal from behind.

Panel 5:

Dave walks back to Bob, holding the criminal by his wasteband.

• Bob: “Why did you run off? I needed you to help me out. We are a team. If we can’t count on each other to help each other out, what good are we?”
• Dave: “Then be a teammate and carry this guy for me.”

Strip 12

Panel 1:

A woman is standing in an alley. A man is grabbing her purse, both of them fighting over it.

• Text Box: “Crime stalks the city. The fair metropolitan is overrun with violence and murder.”

Panel 2:

The man and the woman are both holding slackly onto the purse. They are staring up to the top of the alley.

• Text Box: “Where ever there is evil. Wherever there is injustice. Whenever an innocent is attacked…”

Panel 3:

The man is running away from the woman. She is still holding her purse.

• Text Box: “There is one group of heroes all evil shall fear. There is one team up of epic proportions. They are the American Super, and the Super American. The TITANTIC TWOSOME!”

Panel 4:

The two heroes stand atop the building. Bob (Super American) stands tall and proud. Dave (American Super) is slouching, deflated.

• Bob: “And thus the day is saved once again. For justice has prevailed.”
• Dave: “I really wish you would stop announcing our presence. I WANT to catch a criminal. At least once.”
